A GLOBAL EVENT CULTURE SERIES

KOMUNION

Every event has a story. We find it.

SCROLL TO EXPLORE

Three worlds. One series.

01
DJ Culture
Intimate conversations with DJs in the places that matter to them. Their journey, their craft, how they read a room and hold a dancefloor.
02
Listening Parties
40 people hear new music for the first time. We capture the artist's nerves, the crowd's reactions, and the energy when a track hits.
03
Behind the Scenes
Follow events from concept to execution. The promoter stress, the budget chaos, the scams, and the moment the doors finally open.

The shared experience of event culture.

Komunion is a documentary series that goes beyond the stage, the flyer, and the sold-out crowd. Each episode explores the human stories behind events — the DJs shaping dancefloors, the rising artists finding their audience, and the promoters risking everything to make the night happen.

The name comes from the Latin communio — to share something together. That's what events are at their core. A room full of strangers hearing a song for the first time. A crowd moving to the same beat. A city coming alive after dark. That moment when everyone in the room is feeling the same thing — that's komunion.

We spell it with a K because this isn't a dictionary word. It's a brand. It's ours.

We started in London and West Africa — two of the most vibrant event cultures on the planet — with a phone, a mic, and the stories that were already out there waiting to be told. Every episode is a window into a world most people never see: the chaos backstage, the phone call that nearly cancelled the show, the DJ who drove four hours to play a 45-minute set.

New episodes every two weeks on YouTube.

THE NAME
Komunion — the shared experience. From Latin communio. The sacred moment when a crowd becomes one. A dancefloor singing the same lyric. A room hearing a track for the first time. We spell it with a K because it's ours.
THE FONT
Our wordmark uses Ojuju, an Afro-grotesque typeface created by Nigerian designer Chisaokwu Joboson, inspired by the masks and movements of African masquerades. It supports 514 African indigenous languages.
THREE NICHES
DJ Culture — intimate interviews in the places that matter.
Listening Parties — 40 people, new music, first reactions.
Behind the Scenes — from concept to execution, the real story.
